Kuda Bux - Acid Test

Kuda Bux (Kuda Bukhsh, 1905-1981) performs on You Asked For It, hosted by Art Baker. This appearance was from 1953.

In this demonstration, Bux is blindfolded with an elaborate system of dough, cotton wool, a bandage and handkerchiefs. Yet he demonstrates he can see just as well as any of us by lighting candles, catcing fish in an aquarium and distinguishing between glasses filled with water, and others filled with a strong acid. The assistants in the demonstrations is Ed Reimers and Robert Baldwin.

You Asked For It was a program which aired from 1950-1959 where audience members wrote in requests for strange things they wanted to see on television and producers would recruit performers to answer those requests.
